Soon you will know more about this because the I love 8-bit® show will arrive at Oulu! The show brings the legendary devices of the 1970s and 1980s back on stage. The oldest computers in operation are so early as 1977. In the I love 8-bit® exhibition events you can play, test and have fun with old favorites. The experiences of the early days of digital culture are back again here! Have fun and enjoy the authentic and memorable experiences of the digital cultural heritage.
I love 8-bit® events was created to entertain and educate people at the same time. Just like computer culture was in the 1980s! Load games from tape deck and wait 5 minutes. Maybe the game starts or maybe not! Those experiences are available on the I love 8-bit® exhibition.
The I love 8-bit® show is at Oulu City Library 22nd – 30th August 2026 in collaboration with the European Capital of Culture 2026. Get your own show from The Computer Museum of Kallio.

More than 30 organizers have already participated in the joyful computer culture restoration project I love 8-bit® since 2022. You are welcome to join this project by visiting the I love 8-bit® exhibition or borrowing the exhibition from the Computer Museum of Kallio.

The Computer Museum of Kallio in Helsinki lends and organizes I love 8-bit® exhibitions on request. More than 40 exhibitions have been held since 2022.

HOW TO GET TO THE MUSEUM?
The Computer Museum of Kallio in Helsinki is easily accessible by tram lines 1 or 8. Get off at the Urheilutalo stop, which is about 100 meters from the museum. Free parking on weekends for those arriving by car.
